They come to us for years. The main reasons are only two: our airshow audience loves this majestic, huge, shiny machine and … they love fly-inn to Masuria.
Dakota DC-3 gracefully named Daisy, is specimen arriving from Sweden. Will visit Mazury AirShow not for the first time. It’s a real veteran. Built in 1943 in Plant Douglas Aircraft Company in Long Beach (California, USA), exactly as the version of the C-47-60-DL Skytrain, then converted back to the passenger version. Took part in World War II and the creation of the Swedish airline SAS.
Daisy today belongs to the Swedish Association of Flying Veterans Flygande Veteraner based for many years in Stockholm’s Bromma airport and now located in Vasteras. The organization has build its history since 1982 and today have more than 2’400 members traveling by air in Europe.
